SHE Partners with Fabulous Feminists to Offer and Online Course on Gender and Human Security in Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Assistance
We have spent years perfecting online approaches to interactive adult learning from institutional internal workshops to niche areas of work in gender, equality, customizing engagements in crisis and fragile settings. This year we are proud to announce our new partnership with Fabulous Feminists, a global, online gender training platform and professional community made up of experts passionate about forwarding their knowledge to support the actioning of equality.
SHE Associates offers a variety of trainings which can be customized. This latest one is a reiteration of one conducted over the past few years, titled Gender and Human Security in Peacebuilding in Humanitarian Assistance.
The course is made up of interactive exercises, theory, practical examples and tools. It allows for peer learning and sharing and caters to an array of participants. Its goals include the following:
- Participants are able to conceptualize power, privilege, intersectionality and vulnerability in conflict, post-conflict and humanitarian assistance settings.
- Participants able to reference and engage with international frameworks on gender such as the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and UN Framework for the Prevention of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence.
- Participants learn how to apply gender conscious approaches for humanitarian and fragile settings, including modalities for meaningful inclusion in peacebuilding.
